Must See Classic Car Show in Orange, Ca
In Orange County, CA, there is a historical town by the name of Orange, CA. Within the City of Orange, there is Old Towne Orange also known as the Orange Circle. When you visit, you’ll be greeted with old historic homes and buildings that will make you feel like you hopped in a Delorean and gunned it to 88 mph.
In fact, the city of Orange has the largest historic district in California and is featured in movies such as, That Thing You Do (very good movie, 100% recommend). The setting of Old Towne Orange makes it the perfect backdrop for classic cars to be on display. If you’re looking for a unique classic car show in California then you have to see this one. Let’s go on a car tour in preparation for the upcoming 29th Annual Orange Plaza Rotary Car Show coming in mid April.

Beauty and Beast
The car show in Old Towne Orange near the Orange circle is host to over 300 street rods and vintage cars that will be on display. I’ve only been to one of these shows, which I discovered by accident on a quick day trip, but I feel so blessed to have found it. I’m no car expert, but gosh darn do I appreciate all cars no matter of year, shape, and size… mostly. With that said, all the cars on display were neck breakers and I didn’t know where to look! There were so many cars and they were all so beautiful and pristine and each with a touch of the owner’s personality.
The cars weren’t just something pretty to look at though. With hoods popped and motors on display and turned on, you were able to see and hear what was put into making many of theses cars pure beasts’ (insert Tim Allen grunts). I was feeling the fury of all the V6 and V8’s lined up and I was as happy as I can be.

Cars and Community: A Love Story
Hear me out, I know that there can be some hesitation anytime there is a large congregation of cars in public. Car communities get a bad reputation with the trend of take overs in the middle of a busy street where people will just go completely bonkers and someone always gets hurt. Illegal street racing has been a thing since I can remember and it definitely happened before my time with greasers racing their hot rods to figure out who gets to take Suzy to the dance.
Still, I think car culture is great for the community, minus the goofballs. The Rotary Club in Orange isn’t just putting on a large car show so owners can display their art through classic cars. The event serves a purpose of bringing family, friends, and strangers together whether you’re a car enthusiast or not. I think everyone can appreciate a great looking car despite the interest level. Not only does the City of Orange car show help you meet new people and support local business, but it also serves as a fundraiser. The funds raised through the Orange Circle car show goes back to the community to help support youth programs and education.

Orange, Ca. Classic Car Show Conclusion
The social connections made through cars shows give people that sense of community. The old, young, and in-between come together for the cars, but leave with friendships and a sense of community. Whether it’s import cars (JDM), super cars, classic cars etc. I firmly believe that more local governments should reach out to car communities and help facilitate events like the one in Orange, CA. To me, Old Towne Orange has set a high standard for car shows and I’m excited to see how other places are doing it. Another great classic car show on my list is the Pomona swap meet & classic car show. If you know of any other great car shows in your community, please tell me about them! What is your favorite car show and car?
